Wow!!!   Our Club was presented with the "Colin Bell Ron White Trophy" for Club of the Year in 2008 at the Federations Annual General Meeting on Monday the 25th of May.

Papamoa FC’s continued growth in both Mini, Junior and Senior teams has contributed to us being recipients of this trophy, along with our support of Federation activities, attendance to Coaching and Referee courses along with  Capital Development and Financial Control.

This is only the second year this trophy has been awarded and was instituted to acknowledge the contribution made by two outstanding Waikato Football Administrators over a long period of time with the old WFA.

As well as the Trophy the Papamoa Club receives a credit for their Affiliation Fees for one adult team in 2009--equivalent to about $1000.

The criteria for the Award covers all aspects of a Club through Junior Admin and links, contribution to the wider Football community, Women's / Girl's Football development, support for Referee and Coach Education courses etc, Facility development, and Financial issues and a General Proactivitiy of Football within their own and the wider community.

I would like to express my thanks to the past and present Club Committee for putting together all the initiatives which have lead us to the strong position the club is currently in.  Special thanks must go to Staci Pollard for all her hard work as our Club Secretary.  To Paul van der Salm for the years of commitment he and his family have given to Papamoa and also to Alan Bright as without him and his vision Papamoa Football wouldn't be where we are now.
